Change
After exactly 3 months, I have decided to change my desktop's theme.


Any image/photography is courtesy of yours truly. Plenty of errands to run tomorrow and weather forecasts predict a thunderstorm. Hopefully it won't be so bad/it won't rain and I can tick off my to-do list where it requires me to be out of my room.

Back from Switzerland!
Ok,

So this post is long overdue! Have been back from Switzerland since Monday night and haven't been doing much since. Not going to London anymore. :( Anyway, I took a gazillion photos and videos in Switzerland, so much that all I've been doing these days is burning my old photos to make space for the new ones. Here's a really tiny collage!

At Andermatt, the highest point of the route taken by Glacier Express - I love beautiful scenery - Matterhorn, highest peak in Europe - Beautiful countryside at Engelberg - Lake of Geneva - Jet D'eau (the fountain with water jetting upwards) from far - Inside of a tulip - Huge tulips - Pretty pansy

On the cooking side, made ayam lemak cili padi the day before and sweet and sour fish yesterday (yumyum). Will post photos when I've uploaded them.

As you can see, I'm so free! There's no school (for me at least) from 27 April - 2 May, 4 - 6 May, 9 May, 12-14 May, 16 May and my last class is on the 17th! Anybody going anywhere at a cheap cost, please ask me along, or else, I'd just be wasting away watching japanese movies and taiwanese dramas online!

Ok, I need to go down to the admin to write in the book that the lights are not working in my shower and toilet. This is the 3rd time I'm doing this, gahhh.

Going back soon!
Guten tag!

I've been in Switzerland for more than a week now! Just a little update before I hand the laptop back to Gracia.. Will post pictures when I get back!

Everything is soooo expensive here that it's only now that I begin to appreciate the prices in France. And the speed of the TGV. :D

One thing you'd have to love about Switzerland is its gorgeous scenery; the green fields are not boringly flat like those you'd normally see elsewhere. It is also very tourist-friendly and extremely easy to navigate around. Where else can you find it so easy to go up 3000-4000m mountains? ;) On another note, I'm not sure if I should take a trip to somewhere near tomorrow.. I've used up too many days on my Eurail pass here!

Many thanks to Gracia, Clara, Ian, Huiyi & Zhi Min for being excellent company! There goes my 2 spoons and 1 fork boo hoo hoo. (I still love you guys. :D)

Update
Hello!

I have since moved to Gracia's and Clara's apartment! Huiyi was so kind to lend me a foldable bed that when joined with the sofa made a king-size bed! So now I'm living in luxury at zero cost. :D

This spring break is wonderful and a real break as I'm really taking my time and not waking up early to rush off to go somewhere. The scenery here is gorgeous subhanallah. Snow-capped mountains, endless green meadows, huge lakes, you name it; it's no wonder people go here for their honeymoon! Will post photos when I've transferred them from my camera. Am so glad I have a eurail pass as I'm saving hundreds with it! Literally since everything in Switzerland is so expensive and even short train rides would more than cover the cost of my pass for a day. Took a scenic 2 hr boat ride along the Lake of Lucerne for free yesterday with my pass!

Well, need to go look for internships :( as well as check out information about places to visit in Switzerland. Should be heading to Geneva alone tomorrow! Need to wake up at 5 am to catch an early train gahhh (the trains here are not exactly fast; I really appreciate France's TGV that can cover the same distance in half or even a third of the time).

I love everybody whom I've met here! You guys rock!

Hello!
I am now in St Gallen, Switzerland! Had a bad start and missed my train so had to get tickets for later trains; was so worried that I wouldn't be able to get a ticket since the trains are fully packed! Reached St Gallen at 0018 today and met darlings Gracia, Clara & Ian! Am now staying in Ian's (& Zhimin's) apartment which is very nice and big and clean!

They will be taking me around town later.. Cya!

Off to Switzerland!
Salut!

I have just finished all my tests for this week! Here are photos from the last trip. Tried my best to choose 64 photos out of the 1024 I took. :P Don't think I'll need to tell you to click on the photo to enlarge it eh? ;)


From top left: (Day 1) In the Thalys train to Brussels - Passed this while walking to the hostel in Brugge - They are really into life-like dolls! - My very pretty and girly room in the hostel - Pretty shop sign - Scenic at night - Some former royal palace that now holds the town council or something - Burg Square at night - Souvenirs - Belfry Tower - Eggs for Easter! - (Day 2) We stayed at Bauhaus! - Windmill! - Brugge's the place to go to retire - I love windmills - Everybody's just so relaxed there - Pretty flowers (I can't think of any other word other than pretty so you shall have to bear with my limited vocab) - B for Belgium/Brugge - All the houses are so pretty with bright colours! - Typical architecture - Pretty! - This is one of my faves - Ooh the sun is out! - Time for Loren to wear her shades! - Easter decorations - Horses are all over - Cafe - Chocolates! - Grand building - Dutch clogs! - They're apparently famous for their lace - Pretty pretty - More clogs - Castle - Pretty pansy - The swans are huge - This must be a couple - So pretty - More pretty sights - Belgians and their waffles; that's a fake waffle on display by the way - 2-metre swan at their chocolate festival - Chocolate dog! - Loren's cheap cappucino - (Day 3) Grand Markt (can't remember the name) in Brussels - Poor guy couldn't move - Galeries St Hubert - One of the gardens - Eiffel Tower is still my favourite above all - La Bastille - Chateau de Versailles - Grand palace - Pretty flowers - Detailed fountains can be found everywhere in the expansive garden - They turned on the fountains for a special musical show - Rainbow! - Fountains always look better with water - Drenched - The palace is huuge - Smile! - Close-up - Mythical creatures - Path leading up to a fountain - I love spring!


Talking about spring, the flowers are all blooming on the trees and it's so pink outside the hostel! And there are so many types of flowers all over town, making it very picturesque. People on exchange, come to Rouen if you want a dose of an old-fashioned town after you've visited Paris! It is just slightly more than an hour from Paris by train.

From top left clockwise: Roti Prata with chicken curry; Vegetables with egg, soya sauce and jap tofu; Chicken rice; Ayam masak tomato garnished with fried onions. Needless to say, everything was yummy! :)


Ok that's it! I should go finish up my chicken curry, pack and then head to Carrefour in the evening to pick up my dry cleaning. I will be in Switzerland from 13th-23rd April, so don't miss me!

Please pray for my safety for it will take me 10 hours and 4 trains from Rouen to St. Gallen and I'm travelling alone!

Happy Birthday to Me!
Hello lovely people!

Just got back from Brugge-Brussels-Paris-Versailles! This is my first birthday in Europe and my internet is back! What an excellent birthday present! :)

Thank you all for the birthday wishes! Some lucky people will get chocolates/souvenirs from Belgium! Brugge/Bruges was absolutely beautiful; Brussels was a nightmare; how can I not love Paris and the Palace of Versailles was very grand. :) Took 1024 photos and am looking through them now.

Need to finish unpacking!

I want Internet!
Hello!

It's been a while since I've updated but what can I do? I haven't had proper internet in my room for the past 2-3 weeks! :(

Anyway, will be heading to Belgium = Brugge + Brussels & Paris from 5-8 April.. That's pretty much finalized!

On other updates, I will be booking train tickets tomorrow for my spring break. If all goes well Insya-Allah, I will be heading to Switzerland to stay with Gracia and meet Gillian from 13-23 April, with a trip to Vienna to visit Yishan & Fengling on 16-17 April!

So lovely girls, please don't forget to come and pick me up at the train stations! I will sms you my train details once I get my tickets!

I have 2 french tests on 10th & 12th next week, 3rd one on 24th; other than its panoramic views, long train rides are excellent for doing work. :D

All I want for my birthday is Internet in my room. :( Ok my battery is dying, I will have to go back into my room. (FYI, I've been camping outside my room with my laptop.)
